Armored Mewtwo will likely return to the game if it makes a return in any other Pokémon medium like the anime or films. Now that the film is out and has been available for a while, there's no reason for Niantic to add it back into the game. As the investigation into an armored truck heist back in August of 2022 continues, new details have come to light, with truck drivers alleging that they noticed a suspicious person watching them. Its initial release was to promote a new film. While it is common for legendary Pokémon to return to Raid Battles after a few months or years, it's unlikely Armored Mewtwo will make a return. The only way to obtain one in the game now is to trade with another player who already has it. Since Armored Mewtwo was only available in Pokémon Go as part of an event to promote a film, it was the only time it has ever appeared in five-star raid battles.
